Welcome!

The LionsGate Music School is a private music school under the covering and oversight of Destiny Ministries located in Arkansas City, KS.

Our mission statement is to facilitate, equip, train and educate students in music fundamentals, positioning them for life-long success in their musical endeavors and experiences.

We do this through music classes, group lessons and private music lessons.

For the upcoming year (2011-2012) we are offering private lessons in all disciplines listed below and would be able to teach group lessons for 1st grade students. There is also the possibility of having adult group piano or music lessons as well. Contact Jeff if you're interested in setting something up.

Happy New Year to one and all!!!

The new year has started and I'm ready to go after a two week break in Texas with family. I have officially graduated from Southwestern College with my bachelor's degree in music education and now begin working on my master's degree as well.

One of my goals this year is to get started also on my NCTM certification process to be a MTNA National Certified Teacher of Music. This will just add to my professional resume and I will gain the recognition from colleagues and peers as a music educator who is willing to learn, grow and maintain professional standards.

I will be playing and singing this year for a number of different ensembles. These include french horn for the South Kansas Symphony and Southwestern College Concert Band, trumpet for the Southwestern College Jazz Band and singing in the SC Singers and Burford Singers.

Finally, this is the year for the WVMTA duet festival. I would like as many of my students as can to participate in that festival, but in order to participate you must be currently enrolled as a student... so, let me know if you would like to enroll for the Spring semester.

Jeff
